
FULTON, Miss. – The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) announced its men's soccer postseason honors on Friday, and four Itawamba Community College student-athletes earned All-MACCC distinction.
Luke Dearsley (Sydney, Australia) was selected to the All-MACCC First Team. Alfredo Guerra (Capaccio, Italy) was named to the All-MACCC Second Team, and Will Barber (Kent, England) and William Blake (Fulton), both earned All-MACCC Honorable Mention.
Dearsley finished his sophomore season with seven goals on 12 shots on goal. He scored a career-high two goals in the Indians' 8-3 win over Holmes on Oct. 1.
As a defender and anchor for the Indians' defense this season, Guerra made it difficult for opposing teams to move the soccer ball.
Barber led the Indians with nine goals during his freshman season, which started on the right note when he scored the game-winner against Meridian in the Aug. 28 season opener.
Blake finished his ICC career with 60 saves and three shutouts. He recorded a career-best eight saves against Jones on Oct. 11, and was named MACCC Men's Soccer Keeper of the Week after seven total saves against Holmes and No. 5 Gulf Coast.
The Indians finished the 2024 season 8-6-3 overall with a 6-2-3 conference record and an appearance in the NJCAA Region 23 quarterfinals.
