HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The Indians ended their run in the Alabama-Mississippi Crossover with a 3-1 win over Lawson State in four sets (23-25; 25-23; 25-22; 25-20).
After dropping the opening set, ICC (6-7, 0-0 MACCC) rallied to take the next three and secure the match victory over the Cougars (3-6).
On the attack, Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) led the Indians with 17 kills while Michael Ann East (Oxford) added nine and McLaine Dorr (Gluckstadt) and Kendall Finimore (Lewisburg), six each.
Natalie Nix (Florence, Ala.) posted a team-best 21 digs in the match, and Kylie Graham (Moulton, Ala.) led ICC with 21 assists. Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.) added 19.
The Indians will be back in action Sept. 10 in Arkadelphia, Ark. for a 4 p.m. match with Henderson State University and at 6 p.m., Williams Baptist University.
