
FULTON, MS – The Lady Indians overcame a slow start to secure a 76-63 victory over Mississippi Delta Community College, thanks to a dominant fourth-quarter performance.
The Lady Trojans came out strong, leading 21-16 after the first quarter, but the Lady Indians answered with consistency throughout the game. The turning point came in the final quarter, where Itawamba outscored Delta 25-11 to seal the win.
Tootie Lockett led the way with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists. D'Naylah Williams dominated the boards, posting a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. I'Xana Winters provided a spark off the bench, scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for her own double-double.
The Lady Indians' balanced attack featured contributions from across the roster, including 10 points and 12 rebounds from Jestiny Dixon, who also added three steals.
