
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Itawamba Community College volleyball team dropped its second match of the Chattanooga State Invitational in a 3-1 decision against No. 12 Wallace State in four sets (19-25; 22-25; 25-22; 23-25).
After losing the first two sets, ICC (2-3, 0-0 MACCC) took the third, 25-22, to force a fourth but couldn't get past the Lions (6-2).
Bree Lyons (Oxford) led the Indians with 17 kills while Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) followed with 11 and Michael Ann East (Oxford), six.
Lyons also had a team-best 13 digs. Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.) added 10 and Kensley Woolbright (New Hope), nine. Jones also led ICC with 18 assists, and Kylie Graham (Moulton, Ala.) added 13.
The Indians will be back in action on Saturday for the second day of the Chattanooga State Invitational, where they will face Pasco-Hernando State at 8 a.m. and Snead State at 1 p.m.
