
FULTON, MS - The Indians bounced back from a sweep at Snead with an 8-2 win over Holmes in non-conference play.
The Indians took control in the third inning when Bryson Jackson doubled in a run, an error allowed two more to score, and Madden Butler added an RBI single. They extended their lead with four runs in the fifth, highlighted by home runs from Evan McCarthy and Butler.
Jud Files earned the win, allowing two runs on seven hits over five and one-third innings, striking out seven. Dixon Webb closed out the game with a scoreless inning in relief.
Butler led the offense, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Jackson also had two hits.
