
FULTON, Miss. – The Indians used a good start to the match against Meridian to pick up the 6-3 win on Friday.
ICC started the contest with a 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles play. Joan Mateu Ramis Pascual and Knox Waterer secured No. 1 doubles with an 8-3 win while Luca Hoffmann and Santiago Diaz picked up an 8-2 win at No. 2. Ben Orr and Sawyer Ritchie secured the Indians' third win of doubles play with an 8-1 victory at No. 3.
In singles play, the Eagles took No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles, but the Indians were able to finish the match strong as Hoffmann picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4 while Orr followed with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 5. Sawyer Ritchie finished the contest with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6.
The Indians will be back in action on Friday, March 7, for a 2 p.m. road match with Holmes.
