
GOODMAN, MS – The Lady Indians secured an impressive 84-77 victory over Holmes Community College with a dominant fourth-quarter performance.
The game was tightly contested through three quarters, with the Lady Indians leading 19-17 after the first, falling behind 37-43 at halftime, and trailing 55-56 heading into the final period. However, they took control in the fourth quarter with a decisive 29-16 run that sealed the win.
Jestiny Dixon led the charge with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 steals, while D'Naylah Williams contributed 21 points on 10-of-12 shooting and dominated the boards with 13 rebounds. Off the bench, I'Xana Winters provided a career-high 26 points, giving the Lady Indians a crucial offensive boost.
The Lady Indians controlled the glass, out-rebounding Holmes 41-34, and capitalized on second-chance opportunities to maintain their edge.
With the victory, the Lady Indians secured the No. 2 seed in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament, earning a first-round bye.
