ELLISVILLE, MS - The No. 16 Lady Indians dropped a 9-0 decision to No. 7 Jones College.
Presley Thomas and Melina Vazquez gave the Lady Indians their best shot at securing a win, pushing their opponents to the limit in an 8-5 battle at the No. 2 doubles. Meanwhile, the pairing of Lucia Rubio and Rayssa Dominguez fought hard before falling 8-2 at No. 1 doubles, while Ainsley Robison and Caitlyn Ard came up short by the same score at No. 3.
In singles play, Vazquez putting up an impressive showing at No. 3 singles before her match was cut short. Rubio also had a strong first set at No. 2, keeping things competitive before Jones pulled away to win 6-3, 6-0.
