Lady Indians open the season with win over Blue Mountain Christian

FULTON, MS - The Lady Indians put together a strong all-around performance to secure a 6-3 win over Blue Mountain Christian.

The Lady Indians grabbed an early advantage in doubles, winning two of the three matches. Rayssa Domingues and Lucia Rubio took care of business at No. 1 with an 8-3 victory. The No. 3 duo of Ainsley Robison and Caitlyn Ard delivered in a tight battle, edging out their opponents 9-8(3).

In singles, the Lady Indians took control, winning four of the six matches. Domingues dominated at No. 1, rolling to a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Rubio followed with a strong 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2, while Melina Vazquez battled back to take No. 3 singles in a 4-6, 6-1, [10-5] comeback win. Robison capped off the victory with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 6.
