
ELLISVILLE, Miss. – The Indians showed no quit when they completed a 3-2 comeback win at Jones on Wednesday night in five sets (23-25; 23-25; 25-17; 25-21; 15-7).
After dropping the first two sets by a score of 25-23, the Indians battled their way back, taking the next three to secure the come-from-behind win over the Bobcats.
Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) led the Indians on the attack with 16 kills with Bree Lyons adding 13, and Michael Ann East (both of Oxford), nine. Kensley Woolbright (New Hope) recorded a team-best 17 digs while Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.), who led ICC with 19 assists, contributed 12.
The Indians will be back in the Davis Event Center on Friday, Oct. 4, when they host Pellissippi State at 2 p.m. and Henderson State's junior varsity team at 6 p.m.
