
HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The Indians opened the Alabama-Mississippi Crossover with a 3-1 win over Bevill State Community College on Friday in four sets (15-25; 25-19; 25-22; 26-24).
After dropping the first set, the Indians (4-4, 0-0 MACCC) took the next three to secure the win over the Bears (0-11).
Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) led the Indians with nine kills while Sadie Stegall (Pontotoc) added eight and Michael Ann East (Oxford), seven.
Bree Lyons (Oxford) and McLaine Dorr (Gluckstadt) each had 11 digs, and East, who added 10, tied with Kylie Graham (Moulton, Ala.) for the most assists at 17.
The Indians will be back in action later in the day against Wallace State for their next match of the Alabama-Mississippi Crossover.
