
FULTON, Miss. – A dominant fourth-quarter surge lifted the Lady Indians past Southwest Mississippi Community College, 61-51.
Trailing by one heading into the final period, the Lady Indians erupted for 22 points while holding the Bears to just 12, securing the home victory. I'Xana Winters led the way off the bench with 16 points. Tootie Lockett added 13 points while Leanna Silas chipped in nine points and six rebounds.
The Lady Indians outrebounded Southwest Mississippi 38-26 and limited the Lady Bears to just 34.5% shooting from the field. The Indians also capitalized at the free-throw line, hitting 15-of-19 attempts (78.9%).
