Indians pick up fifth-consecutive win

MERIDIAN, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College volleyball team picked up its fifth-consecutive victory after defeating Meridian, 3-0, in three sets (25-17; 25-15; 25-17).
After taking the first set, 25-17, ICC set the tone and took care of business enroute to the three-set win.
On the attack, Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) led the Indians with 12 kills while Bree Lyons added seven and Michael Ann East (both of Oxford), six. Kensley Woolbright (New Hope) had a team-best 13 digs with Lyons following with eight. Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.) led with 14 assists and Pendleton added eight.
The Indians will be back in action on Monday, Oct. 14 when they travel to Booneville to face rival Northeast at 6 p.m.
