MARION, AL - Itawamba Community College turned in an impressive performance on the road, defeating Marion Military Institute with a dominant 102-69 victory.
The game began with ICC coming out strong in the first half, taking a commanding 51-31 lead at the break. Their offensive efficiency was on full display, shooting 50.7% from the field (37-73) and maintaining solid defense, limiting MMI to just 38.1% shooting (24-63). In the second half, the Indians continued to build on their lead, outscoring MMI 51-38 to secure the blowout victory.
James Turner poured in 18 points off the bench with an efficient 7-10 shooting performance, including 4-7 from three-point range. MJ Smith contributed a double-double, registering 11 points and 11 rebounds in just 14 minutes of play. Marcel Bridges also made a strong impact, scoring 13 points and grabbing 9 rebounds in 18 minutes. AJ Dent played a solid all-around game with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist.
The Indians' bench was highly effective, contributing 48 of the team's 102 points. Mo Diaby added 11 points and 7 rebounds.
