
RAYMOND, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College women's soccer team extended their winning streak to four matches after taking a 6-0 victory at Hinds on Friday night.
Vanessa Baugatz (Berlin, Germany) got the scoring started for the Lady Indians when netted the first two goals of the match to put her team up 2-0. Kim Maaskant scored on an assist by Millie Webb (Rugby, England), and then Isobel Kinsella (Gloucestershire, UK) put ICC up 4-0 heading into halftime. In the second half, Cooper Pletzke (Clinton) extended the lead on an assist by Kinsella with 32 minutes to play, and then Baugatz picked up her third goal of the contest to put the Lady Indians up 6-0 in the match's final minutes.
The Lady Indians had a total of 10 shots on goal with Baugatz leading with three and Maaskant with two while Webb, Kinsella, Pletzke, Liv Norris (Hernando) and Bella Moore (Olive Branch) each added one.
Annabelle Holman (Amory) recorded a save in the victory as she recorded her fourth-consecutive shutout.
The Lady Indians will close out the regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 29 when they face No. 10 Pearl River in a 5 p.m. match in Poplarville.
