FULTON, MS – The Indians delivered a dominant performance over No. 7 Jones College, securing a 92-79 victory to open conference play.
AJ Dent scored a career-high 38 points on 13-of-18 shooting and pulled down 13 rebounds. Dent finished the night three points away for tying a modern-day record for most points in a game set by Brian Halums with 41 against Southern Shreveport in 2017.
The team shot a scorching 53.6% from the field and an impressive 88.5% from the free-throw line.
Damarion Winston scored 13 points while James Turner scoring 11 points
The Indians' defense also played a crucial role, limiting Jones College to just 28.6% from beyond the arc and forcing them into 17 turnovers.
