
SENATOBIA, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season in a 1-0 decision against No. 9 Heartland Community College on Tuesday.
The Hawks (2-1) scored the match's lone goal in the first half as the Indians (1-1, 0-0 MACCC) couldn't get anything going offensively.
Cayden Smith (Amory), Will Barber (Kent, England) and Niclas Schulze (Hoersholm, Denmark) each had a shot while Elijah Belk (Oxford) recorded a shot on goal. William Blake (Fulton) recorded two saves for the Indians.
The Indians will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Opelika, Ala. for a 4 p.m. match with Southern Union.
