FULTON, MS – The Lady Indians dropped their first conference game of the season, 68-56, to Coahoma.
The Lady Tigers used a 17-0 run to start the second half to take advantage and never look back. The Lady Indians cut the lead to nine points on multiple occasions in the fourth quarter but couldn't rally for the win.
Tootie Lockett led Itawamba with 14 points, while Jestiny Dixon added 11 and recorded four steals. Briyana Turner provided a spark off the bench, scoring 11 points.
The Lady Indians will look to rebound from the loss when they travel to Decatur to take on East Central on Thursday.
