FULTON, Miss. – The Indians dropped a hard-fought match against Northwest, 3-0, at the Davis Event Center on Wednesday night in three sets (25-27; 17-25; 29-31).
After dropping a close battle in the first set, 27-25, ICC was not able to get over the hump against the Rangers, who took the second set, 25-17, and the third in a hard-fought battle, 31-29.
Bree Lyons (Oxford) led the Indians on the attack with 17 kills while Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) followed with 11, and Michael Ann East (Oxford), eight. On the serve, Kensley Woolbright (New Hope) had a team-high 17 digs with Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.), who also led the Indians with 20 assists, adding 11, and Lyons and Madasen McCaig (Belmont), 10 each.
ICC will be back in the Davis Event Center on Monday, Oct. 21 when they host Jones for a 5 p.m. match.
