FULTON, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College volleyball team got back into the win column after picking up a 3-0 win over Jones on Monday in three sets (25-17; 25-13; 25-19).
The Indians set the tone with a 25-17 win in the first set and went on to take the second, 25-13, and the third, 25-19, enroute to the victory.
Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) had a team-best 12 kills while Bree Lyons followed with 11 and Michael Ann East (both of Oxford), 10. Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.) led with 21 assists and Pendleton added 13. Kensley Woolbright (New Hope) had the most digs with 13, and Pendleton and Lyons each added nine to the stat sheet.
The Indians will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 23 when they host Pearl River in a 5 p.m. match with the MACCC Regular Season Championship on the line.
