FULTON, MS – The Lady Indians cruised to an 82-59 victory over Jones College to open MACCC play on Monday. The win improved their record to 11-3, 1-0 while Jones College dropped to 3-10, 0-2.
The Lady Indians shot an impressive 62.1% from the field. Jestiny Dixon scores a career-high 29 points, shooting 13-of-21 from the field, and adding a career-best 11 rebounds.
D'Naylah Williams also had an outstanding game, scoring 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting, while Tootie Lockett contributed 10 points and a career-high 9 assists.
Itawamba's defense was equally effective, limiting the Lady Bobcats to just 19 field goals and forcing them into 17 turnovers.
ICC will be on the road Thursday when they take on Mississippi Delta.
