
FULTON, Miss. – The Indians fell to Gulf Coast, 7-2, at the Johnson-Partlow Tennis Courts on Monday.
In doubles play, Joan Mateu Ramis Pascual and Knox Waterer picked up an 8-6 win in No. 1 doubles over Mortiz Stroebel and Vicente Faria. But the Bulldogs responded by winning the next two doubles matches. Jack Semper and Santiago Diaz dropped a 9-8(4) decision at No. 2, and Luca Hoffmann and Ben Orr fell 8-2 at No. 3.
In singles, Ramis Pascual got the Indians their second and final win of the day with a 7-5, 7-6(1) over Gonzalo Cotter at No. 1. Gulf Coast swept the remainder of the singles matches.
The Indians will be back in action on Thursday, March 20, when they host rival Northeast for a 2 p.m. match at the Johnson-Partlow Tennis Courts.
