
FULTON, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College women's soccer team used a pair of late goals to take a 2-0 win over Southwest at the ICC Soccer Complex on Tuesday.
After a scoreless first half, it was deadlocked at 0-0 for the majority of the second. It wasn't until inside 10 minutes to play when the Lady Indians struck first on a header by Lauren Sharples (Liverpool, England).
Vanessa Baugatz (Berlin, Germany) put the match on ice when she found a window and made it a 2-0 advantage for ICC with a minute to go.
Sharples recorded five shots on goal while Baugatz and Millie Webb (Rugby, England) each had two.
Annabelle Holman (Amory) had a good day at the net, recording three saves and a shutout.
