SUMMIT, MS – Anthony Jones (Oxford) had a goal and a pair of assists in the Indians' 3-2 win over the Southwest Mississippi Bears on Saturday.
Jones scored the lone goal in the first half for the Indians. His assist to JB Purvis (Byhalia) gave ICC a 2-1 lead early in the second half. Cameron West (Glasgow, Scotland) added a penalty kick to give the Indians a 3-2 advantage that would hold over the final 26 minutes of the match.
Corbin Martin (Amory) allowed one goal and had two saves in the first half of play. Eric Velazquez (Tupelo) allowed a goal and made two saves in 23 minutes in net while Nate Drewry (Corinth) added a save and allowed no goals in the final 22 minutes of play.
The Indians will travel to No. 6 Jones College on Friday.
