Sophomore Bree Lyons (Oxford) has signed to continue her volleyball career at Converse University in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

“I’m so honored to have been named an All-American, especially in a program that has become as strong as it is,” Pendleton said. “I’m so thankful for my teammates, Coach Annie [McGregor], Coach Caroline [Smith] and thankful for God for placing me in this situation as I came to ICC looking for a better volleyball experience, and I had just that.”

Itawamba Community College's #GivingTuesday campaign is an exciting opportunity for individuals to support the institution and its student-athletes. Donations can be directed toward specific programs, the championship fund, or the Sports Information Department.

Four Indians added their names to the volleyball record book this season.

Bree Lyons (Oxford) and Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) both achieved All-MACCC First Team honors while Kensley Woolbright (New Hope) was named to the All-MACCC Second Team and Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.), All-MACCC Honorable Mention.

The Indians’ season came to an end in the semifinal round of the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament on Friday, dropping a 3-1 decision to Jones in four sets (23-25; 25-21; 20-25; 24-26).

The Itawamba Community College volleyball team sent its sophomores off on a good note with a 3-0 win over Bevill State on Sophomore Day in three sets (25-15; 30-28; 25-22).

Despite Bree Lyons (Oxford) and McLaine Dorr (Gluckstadt) each having 12-kill performances, it still wasn’t enough for the Indians as they fell to Pearl River, 3-1, in four sets (18-25; 20-25; 25-20; 23-25).
