Itawamba Community College Athletics Media Credentials
Itawamba Community College credentials may be issued to:
- Working members of the media from recognized outlets that focus on news gathering.
- Eligible media include representatives of established local or regional newspapers, television and radio stations and reputable online sports websites that consistently cover collegiate or local sports.
- Official student media organizations from ICC are eligible. Requests from visiting institutions’ student media may be considered with faculty or sports information office verification.
- Freelance journalists or photographers must provide a formal assignment letter from a recognized outlet, preferably submitted by the assigning editor or director.
- Photographic agencies on editorial assignment may also be credentialed.
Credentials will not be issued to:
- Spouses, guests or children/other relatives of working media.
- Syndicated television or cable programmers not covering the event for immediate news distribution are ineligible.
- Those who create podcasts and/or independent blogs and/or internet radio and fan websites that lack professional journalistic standards are not eligible.
- Outlets focused primarily on recruiting, professional scouting (without ICC approval) or gambling are ineligible.
- Agents or representatives from professional organizations will not be credentialed unless specifically authorized by ICC Athletics.
Application Process
Media credential requests must be submitted through the ICC Athletics Media Credential Request Form or by contacting the Sports Information Department.
Requests should ideally be submitted by the outlet's sports editor, news director or photo editor.
Requests should must be submitted at least 48-to-72 hours before the event. Earlier submission is recommended for high-demand events.
Credentials are typically issued on a single-game basis. Season credentials may be granted to outlets providing consistent and comprehensive ICC Athletics coverage.
Freelancers must have their editor submit the request directly. Applicants will be notified of their request status by email. Submission does not guarantee approval.
Credential Terms and Conditions
- Credentials are issued to specific individuals and are nontransferable. Unauthorized use may result in immediate revocation.
- Credentials must be visible at all times while on ICC premises. Media may be asked to show identification.
- All credentialed individuals are expected to behave professionally and respect the event, staff, participants and fans. Harassment or misconduct may result in ejection and loss of credential.
- Media must comply with instructions from ICC staff, event personnel and security. Access is limited to designated media areas such as the press box, photo zones and interview locations.
- Locker rooms, team benches and restricted areas are off-limits unless expressly approved.
- Photographers working field-level or courtside may be required to wear ICC-provided credentials. Flash photography during play is prohibited.
- Non-rights holding media may use up to two minutes of game footage for news purposes only, to be aired or published within 24-to-48 hours of the event.
- Footage may not be sold or repurposed.
- Livestreaming of game action is prohibited unless written permission is granted by ICC Athletics. This includes streaming via social media.
- All broadcasting rights for ICC events are managed by Itawamba Community College. Outlets wishing to broadcast must coordinate with the Sports Information Department.
Interview Policy
All interview requests for student-athletes or coaches must go be channeled through the Itawamba Community College Sports Information Department and should be submitted 24-to-48 hours in advance.
Postgame interviews will be conducted in designated areas according to procedures established by ICC Athletics.
Media will not be allowed on the playing surface until cleared by event staff.
Personal contact information for student-athletes and coaches will not be released.
Compliance and Revocation
All media must comply with ICC, NJCAA and MACCC rules and regulations.
ICC Athletics reserves the right to revoke credentials at any time for violations, unprofessional behavior or conduct deemed detrimental to the event, institution or its participants.

This policy is reviewed annually. The most current version will be available on the ICC Athletics website.
Submitting a request does not guarantee approval. ICC may limit credentials based on space and outlet focus.
