DECATUR, MS –After its second overtime match of the week, Itawamba Community College's men's soccer program ended its MACJC North Division match against East Central Community College in a 1-1 draw Friday.
The Indians (1-2-1, 0-1-1 MACJC North Division) struck first in the game that was called due to darkness, when sophomore midfielder Will Bevill (Chelsea, AL) scored ten minutes into the second half.
With time running out, the Warriors netted the equalizer off a penalty kick with just under seven minutes remaining in the contest. Despite both team's best efforts, the match went into overtime knotted at one.
The teams were engaged in a hard fought battled in the first overtime period, when the officials were forced to call the game due to lack of light, making playing conditions unsafe, and end the contest in a 1-1 draw.
The Indians will face another North Division road test Wednesday when they travel to Senatobia to take on Northwest Mississippi Community College. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
