FULTON, Miss. – The Lady Indians took care of business at Southwest Tennessee to pick up a 6-1 win to improve to 7-0 on the season.
Beth Lloyd (Failsworth, ENG) wasted little time getting the Lady Indians on the board with a goal off an assists from Lauren Sharples (Liverpool, ENG) in the two minutes of the match.
Southwest Tennessee pulled even with a goal 10 minutes later, but the rest of the night belonged to the Lady Indians.
Julia Benneckenstein (Vaduz, LI) put the Lady Indians up 2-1 off an assist from Camryn Summerall (Brookhaven). Sharples found Lloyd for the third goal of the match before scoring off an assist from Vanessa Baugatz (Schorfheide, DE) three minutes later.
Melanie Huber (Rickenbach Sultz, CH) scored off the third assist of the night by Sharples. Baugatz found the back of the net after an assist from Juliana Motes (Fulton) to round out the scoring on the night.
Asia Robinson (Horn Lake) had four saves and one goal allowed in the win.
