FULTON, MS – The Lady Indians continue their impressive start to the season with a 5-1 win over Southwest Tennessee.
Vanessa Baugatz (Schorfheide, DE) scored off an assist from Addison Pletzke (Clinton) to put the Lady Indians up 1-0 in the early stages of the match. Caroline Wages (Oxford) sent home an assist from Juliana Motes (Fulton) to make it a 2-0 match heading into the break.
Melanie Huber (Rickenbach Sultz, CH) scored at the 63rd minute mark of the match before Motes (Fulton) made it a 4-0 contest in the 76th minute. The Lady Indians final goal was an own goal by Southwest Tennessee.
Asia Robins was seven minutes away from a shutout when Southwest Tennessee got a goal. She finished the matched with four saves and one goal allowed.
