FULTON - The Lady Indians opened the 2023-24 season with a 68-62 win over Motlow State at the Davis Event Center Wednesday night.
Arianna Durrell (Clinton) led ICC with 14 points while Jestiny Dixon (Foley, Ala.) and D'naylah Williams (Kosciusko) added 12 and 10 respectively. Dixon also had a team-best three steals. La'Monnie Owens (Olive Branch) had half of the Lady Indians' total assists (6) along with two steals.
The Lady Indians shot 40.9 percent from the field, 38.5 percent from three-point range and 73 percent from the free throw line with Durrell, Owens, Dixon, Jamyia Bowen (Shannon) and Kenijha Flowers (Clinton) making all their attempts.
ICC will travel to Montgomery, Ala. to take on Huntingdon College's junior varsity team Friday at 2 p.m.
