Senatobia, Miss. – After defeating Northwest in Fulton Wednesday, the Indians dropped a 3-0 decision to the Rangers on the road Saturday.
The Indians battled with the Rangers but fell 3-0 losing the sets 25-16, 25-17 and 25-22.
LaMaya Newsome (Southaven) led the team with 11 kills and Morgan Lee (Olive Branch) added a team-high 28 assists.
The Indians had four players pick up double digits in digs led by Tori Brooks (Steens) with 18. Londyn Bakeris (Olive Branch) added 14 digs, followed by Lee with 13 and Angie Gonzalez (Walls) with 12.
Saturday's loss means the Indians and Rangers have split the season series and a tie breaker game will be played on March 26 with a postseason berth on the line. However, before then the Indians will have a busy spring break to prepare for the big game back in Senatobia.
