
Fulton, Miss. – In their third meeting of the season, Itawamba Community College volleyball and Pearl River Community College battled in a region match Tuesday night.
It was a tough night for the Indians (11-8, 0-2) as Pearl River picked up the 3-0 victory, winning the sets 25-17, 25-16 and 25-20.
The Indians picked up 25 kills in the match and had 47 digs.
Sarah Allyn Thornell (Atoka, Tenn.) led the team with 11 assists and 10 digs, while picking up six kills.
Kailynn Johnson (Olive Branch) also had six kills in the match.
The Indians, who have been road warriors for most of the season will get two consecutive home matches as they look to rebound. Friday they host Champions Christian College at 5 p.m. and will host Bevill state Community College next Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
