FULTON, Miss. – Sophomore guard Jestiny Dixon (Foley, Ala.) has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, according to an announcement Tuesday.
Dixon led the Lady Indians to a 2-0 week with an 82-59 victory over Jones and a 76-63 road win over then-undefeated Mississippi Delta. In the game against Jones, she had a career-best 29 points and matched her career-high 11 rebounds. During ICC's win at Mississippi Delta, she contributed 10 points and had a new career-high 12 rebounds.
She is the second ICC player to be named MACCC Player of the Week this season. D'Naylah Williams (Kosciusko) earned the honor on Nov. 12.
Dixon and her teammates will be back in action on Tuesday, Jan. 21, when they host rival Northeast at 5:30 p.m. in the Davis Event Center.
