Baker receives All-State, All-Region honors

FULTON, MS -- Itawamba Community College sophomore guard Ty-Nita Baker (Houston) was named First-Team Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-State and was selected to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 team on Monday.
Baker, who also earned NJCAA All-Region 23 Tournament Team honors, is averaging 18.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.8 assists per game for the Lady Indians (19-9) this season and is eligible to be nominated for NJCAA All-American honors.
The Lady Indians won the program's first NJCAA Region 23 championship since 1975 and will participate in the NJCAA National Basketball tournament in Salina, Kansas in two weeks.
