
Former Indian named SCBL Player of the Week

Former ICC centerfielder Tanner Poole has been named Southern Collegiate Baseball League (SCBL) Player of the Week.
Poole had 13 hits in 23 at-bats last week, including a home run, double and two triples. He drove in eight runs while stealing a pair of bases for the SCBL leading Piedmont Pride (23-5).
The Amory native led the Indians in numerous offensive categories last season hitting .378 in the leadoff spot with 12 doubles, four triples, six home runs, 46 runs and 39 RBI to earned Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-State team and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 honors for his standout sophomore season.
He was named MACJC Player of the Week in the final week of the season.
Poole, who will play at Mississippi State next season, stole 26 bases to finish in the top 20 nationally and recorded 71 putouts to finished with a .986 fielding percentage.
