
SENATOBIA, Miss. – The Indians dropped a pair of road conference games to Northwest on Thursday.
Game 1: Rangers 6, Indians 2
The Rangers opened the scoring in the second with three runs scored and they would add another run in the fourth to go up 4-0.
In the sixth, ICC got on the board when Madden Butler hit a solo home run followed by Hank Stalnaker scoring after Luke Wood was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
Northwest responded with two unanswered runs to pick up the game one win.
Jud Files was the pitcher of record for the Indians, striking out nine batters and walking six while surrendering six runs on nine hits in six and two-thirds innings of work.
Houston Green and Nathan Ferris each recorded two hits for ICC while Wood and Butler each drove in a run.
Game 2: Rangers 5, Indians 2
Northwest opened game two with three runs in the first inning with an RBI double, an error and an RBI ground out.
The Indians answered in the third inning when Stone Collier used a sacrifice fly to score Jack Clayton and an RBI double from Jude Treadaway made it a one-run game in the fourth.
The Rangers would add a run each in the fifth and sixth innings to pick up the game two win and sweep over the Indians.
On the hill, Brock Ware went five innings with four strikeouts and two walks issued while allowing four runs (one earned) on five hits.
