
FULTON, Miss. – The Indians dropped a pair of conference games to No. 2 Pearl River on Friday.
Game 1: Wildcats 24, Indians 6 (7 innings)
The Indians dropped game one to the Wildcats, 24-6, in seven innings.
Pearl River struck first with two runs in the first inning and added four in the top of the second. In the bottom half of the inning, Bryson Jackson got ICC on the board with an RBI double followed by a single from Jarrett Morris that scored Jackson.
The Wildcats added two more to their lead in the third and went on to score seven in the fourth and two more in the fifth. In the bottom half of the fifth, the Indians scored three runs courtesy of a three-run home run by Nathan Ferris.
After Pearl River tacked on four more runs to their lead in the top of the sixth, Jude Treadaway singled to score Morris in the bottom half of the inning. The Wildcats plated three more runs in the top of the seventh.
Brayden Billingsley was the pitcher of record for the Indians, striking out two batters and walking one while giving up three runs on one hit.
Treadaway led the Indians with two hits at the plate while Ferris drove in three runs.
Game 2: Wildcats 20, Indians 0 (5 innings)
No. 2 Pearl River tallied 20 runs to complete the sweep of the Indians with a 20-0 win in game two, in five innings.
Jude Treadaway and Hank Stalnaker each had a hit for ICC.
Brock Ware was the pitcher of record for the Indians as he struck out two batters and walked two while giving up 10 runs on nine hits in three innings of work.
