Lady Eagles defeat Lady Indians 8-1

MERIDIAN, MS – In the first road match of the year, the Itawamba Community College women's tennis ran into a talented No. 18 Meridian Community College squad.
The Lady Indians (1-5) gave it their best effort but were unable to get the best of the Lady Eagles, falling 8-1.
Jordan Roberts (Shannon) picked up the Lady Indians lone victory as she defeated Shelby Zachry in No. 1 singles action 6-3, 6-2.
Meridian swept the doubles action and pick up three singles wins in shutout fashion.
The Lady Indians won't get any rest before their next match as they travel to East Central Community College Friday.
