FULTON, MS – The ICC women's tennis team took home one of the top academic honors in the state when the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) released its 2015-16 Academic All-State Teams Friday.

The Lady Indians earned the MACJC Women's Overall Academic All-State Team of the Year honor after finishing the school year with a 3.80 composite GPA.

"We are proud of our women's tennis team," said ICC Athletic Director Carrie Ball-Williamson. "Coach Paul Johnson did a marvelous job… and they did a great job on the courts this year and in the classroom."

Members of this year's squad includes: Blue Mountain College signee Andria Barnes (Mooreville), Kacey Byrd (Mooreville), Meredith Lee (Nettleton), Danielle May (Saltillo), Ivy Robbins (Pontotoc), Jordan Roberts (Shannon) and No. 4 singles state and region champion Madison Scott (Mooreville).

The Lady Indians finished fourth in the MACJC and NJCAA Region 23 tournament and were coached by Paul Johnson this season.
