Lady Indians roll over Holmes, 9-0

GOODMAN, MS - The Lady Indians improved to 6-1 on the season with a 9-0 win at Holmes Community College Monday.
Jordan Roberts (Shannon) and Ivy Robbins (Pontotoc) battled their way to an 8-6 win in No. 1 doubles play over Allie Fudge and Kaylan Cooper after Madison Scott (Mooreville) and Kacey Byrd (Mooreville) picked up an 8-0 win in No. 2 doubles and Andria Barnes (Mooreville) and Meredith Lee (Nettleton) grabbed an 8-0 win in No. 3 doubles action.
Robbins carried her momentum into singles action to defeat Oddysey Brewer 6-0, 6-0 in No. 5 singles action.
In No. 6 singles play, Lee defeated Savanna Bell 6-1, 6-3 before Roberts knocked off Allie Fudge 6-2, 6-1 in No. 1 singles. Barnes notched the victory over Cooper 6-2, 6-0 in No. 2 singles. Byrd knocked off Ashleigh Pope 7-6, 6-1 in No. 3 singles play.
Scott completed the sweep with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Brenda Arvizu in No. 5 singles action.
