Dixon, Lockett selected to All-Region 23 team

FULTON, Miss. – Itawamba Community College guards Jestiny Dixon (Foley, Ala.) and Tootie Lockett (Starkville) have earned National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 honors, the conference announced Wednesday.

Dixon finished her ICC career averaging a team-best 14.1 and 7.6 rebounds per game and a 44 shooting percentage while helping the Lady Indians to the Region 23 Championship and a berth in the NJCAA DI Women's Basketball National Tournament. Dixon scored a career-high 30 points in ICC's 83-65 win over Mississippi Delta to secure the Region 23 title.

Lockett had an outstanding freshman season for the Lady Indians, averaging 12.7 points per game, just behind Dixon, while also contributing 4.4 rebounds per game and a shooting percentage of 43.6. She recorded a career-high 22 points in the Lady Indians' 65-56 road win against East Central on Jan. 30.

Dixon and Lockett were also selected to the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Women's Basketball First Team All-Conference earlier this month.

The Lady Indians finished the 2024-25 season with a 25-6 overall record, a 12-2 mark in MACCC play, NJCAA Region 23 Tournament championship and an appearance in the NJCAA DI Women's Basketball Tournament.
