
FULTON, Miss. – Jestiny Dixon (Foley, Ala.) and Tootie Lockett (Starkville) have been named to the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Women's Basketball First Team All-Conference on Tuesday.
Dixon, who was also named Most Valuable Player for the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament, has been a key piece for the Lady Indians' success this season, leading with an average of 14.3 points per game, which is fifth in the MACCC. Most recently, she scored a career-high 30 points in ICC's 83-65 win over Mississippi Delta to secure the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament title.
The impressive freshman season Lockett has put together thus far earned not only First Team All-MACCC honors, but also MACCC Women's Basketball Freshman of the Year. She currently averages 12.7 points per game, which is second on the team behind Dixon. Lockett posted a career-best 22-point performance in the Lady Indians' 65-56 road win over East Central on Jan. 30.
The Lady Indians will now enter play the 2025 Credit Union 1 NJCAA Women's DI Basketball Tournament as the No. 21 seed where they will face No. 12 seed Florida Southwestern State College on Wednesday, March 26, at 3:30 p.m. in the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming.
