Summit, Miss. – Itawamba Community College women's basketball suffered a 74-59 conference road loss to Southwest Mississippi Community College Thursday night.
The Lady Indians (10-9, 2-8) trailed by five, 36-31, at halftime, but came out of the break and took the lead. However, they trailed 54-47 at the end of the third quarter.
Southwest pulled away in the final quarter on their way to the 74-59 victory.
Allie Beckley (Pontotoc) led the Lady Indians with 14 points. Kimaya Dixon (Oxford) followed with 11 points and Addison Howell (Olive Branch) added 10 points.
The Lady Indians return to Fulton Monday night as they play host to Copiah-Lincoln Community College for their annual Pink Out, Breast Cancer Awareness Game. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the Davis Event Center.
