Scooba, Miss. – Itawamba Community College women's basketball picked up its second straight conference win Friday afternoon with a 67-49 road win over East Mississippi Community College.
In the first two quarters, the Lady Indians (12-9, 4-8 MACCC) and Lady Lions battled, but the Tribe was able to hold a 13-12 lead at the end of the first and a 28-23 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, the Lady Lions rallied and cut the lead down to one, 36-35, but the Lady Indians went a run to take a 43-35 lead into the final quarter.
The Lady Indians pulled away in the fourth quarter to pick up 67-49 road win.
Kimaya Dixon (Oxford) led the Lady Indians with 12 points and Kenijha Flowers (Clinton) followed with 11 points.
The Lady Indians will host Holmes Community College Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. with Sophomore Night recognition held prior to the game.
