Senatobia, Miss. – Itawamba Community College women's basketball dropped a 70-61 decision on the road Monday night to Northwest.
The Lady Indians (11-6, 6-3 MACCC) were locked in a tight battle with the Lady Rangers early on, trailing 17-13 at the end of the first but knotting things up by halftime, 27-27.
In the third quarter, the Lady Rangers took a lead and extended it to 44-29. Heading into the final quarter, the Lady Indians trailed by 10, 52-42.
The Lady Indians were unable put together a comeback in the fourth, falling 70-61.
Ky'Leo Worriels (Hinesville, Ga) led the Lady Indians with 18 points, followed by R'Daztiny Harris (Hickory Flat) with 11.
Thursday, the Lady Indians will return to the Davis Event Center for a conference battle with Southwest Mississippi Community College at 5:30 p.m.
