SENATOBIA, Miss - The Lady Indians picked up a hard-fought, 69-65, road victory over the Northwest Lady Rangers Monday night.
ICC improved to 4-1 overall and in the North Division. Northwest moved to 2-2 overall and in division play. The two teams still have a make-up game to play before closing out the regular season on Monday, March 22 in Senatobia.
The Lady Indians rushed out to a 23-12 lead by the end of the first quarter but the Lady Rangers rallied to make it a 36-33 game by halftime.
ICC outscored Northwest 17-16 in the third quarter and matched the Lady Rangers point-for-point in the final frame to earn the 69-65 win.
Shomaria Overton (Leland) and Amelya Hatch (Ripley) led the Lady Indians with 12 points each. Xhiir Burgess (Oxford) added 11 in the win.
ICC will host East Mississippi (3-1, 3-1 MACCC North) on Thursday. The game will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/red at 5:15 p.m.
