Booneville, Miss. – In the MACJC North Division rivalry showdown, ICC and Northeast were in a tight battle from tip-off, but the Lady Indians were able to pull away late to outlast the Lady Tigers 66-55.
The Lady Indians (9-2, 2-0 MACJC North) trailed by two at the end of the first quarter and at halftime, but held a 50-47 lead heading into the final frame.
In the fourth quarter, the Lady Indians were able to pull away by outscoring the Lady Tigers 16-8 and pick up the win.
Kealy Wilson (Olive Branch) paced the Lady Indians offensive attack scoring a team-high 16 points, followed by Tabreea Gandy (Starkville) with 14 and Whitney Watkins (Decatur, Ala.) added 10 points.
Coming off the bench, Lymyia Fifer (Louisville) scored 14 points while shooting 7-9 from the field.
Monday, the Lady Indians will face their final non-division opponent of the regular season as they play host to Arkansas State University's Mid-South. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
