West Memphis, Ark. – After being held to their lowest first half total of the season, the Lady Indians scored 52 second half points to defeat ASU Mid-South, 71-47 Thursday night.
The Lady Indians (4-1) were held to only 19 points in the first half and four in the first quarter, but after halftime adjustments they outscored the Lady Greyhounds 24-12 in the third quarter and 28-8 in the final frame.
Sophomore guard Whitney Watkins (Decatur, Ala.) led the comeback scoring 13 points in the second half and finishing with a team-high 15 points.
Shimia Williams (Booneville) followed with 12 points and Kealy Wilson (Olive Branch) with 11 points.
The win over ASU Mid-South wrapped up a four game road stretch of the schedule and they will return to action in the Davis Event Center Monday Dec. 2 when they host Lawson State at 5:30 p.,.
