FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College women's basketball coach Nanci Gray announced that sophomore Erika Toney (Horn Lake) has signed to continue her career at Glenville State College.
Toney averaged 7.2 points and lead the team with 7.3 rebounds per game to help the Lady Indians win their second straight National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Championship.
The 5-foot-8 guard scored a season high 14 points against Southwest in the opening game of this year's NJCAA Region 23 Tournament in Clinton.
During her freshman year, Toney scored a career high 21 points in a 75-70 road win over Northwest.
In her two seasons in the red and blue, Toney played in 51 games, scored 324 points and 281 rebounds.
Toney joins a Lady Pioneer program that finished 17-12 last season and advanced to the conference tournament quarterfinals. She will play for newly hired Head Coach Kim Stephens.
Glenville State is an NCAA Division II school located in Glenville, WV that competes in the Mountain East Conference.
