
Lady Indians defeat Lady Pioneers to extend win streak

GALLATIN, TN – The Lady Indians faced their second tough road test as they traveled past Nashville to battle with Volunteer State. They had to work hard to defeat the short staffed Lady Pioneers, but the Lady Indians were able to outlast them to pick up the 78-63 victory.
Going into Thursday night's contest, the Lady Indians (11-2, 2-0) were riding a five game winning streak, but picking up their sixth was not going to be an easy task. The Lady Pioneers were limited with seven players, but they led by as much as 8-points during the contest. Late in the first half, the Lady Indians put together a few runs to hold a 36-23 lead at the break.
The Lady Indians put their foot on the gas in the second half highlighted by a 13-0 run to propel them to the 78-63 win and extending their streak to six.
Jeronia Allen (Minden, LA), Alontra Tucker (Lamar) and Kaelin Kneeland (Olive Branch) led the Lady Indians as they finished with 13-points each, but twelve Lady Indians chipping on offense.
The Lady Indians return home and to North Division play on Monday as the face Holmes. Tip-off is schedule for 6 p.m. The game will be live streamed on LetsGoICC.com and can be heard on FM95 (95.7) and FM95radio.com with the Davis Ford Pregame show beginning at 5:40 p.m.
